Adeyfield Allies

Adeyfield Allies are a dedicated group of student leaders who actively promote equality, diversity and inclusion across The Adeyfield Academy. Meeting regularly, they provide an important part of  student voice, working collaboratively to ensure that the school remains a welcoming and inclusive environment where every individual feels valued, respected and able to be themselves. Through raising awareness, celebrating diversity and supporting key LGBTQ+ initiatives, the group embodies the Academy's values of Respect and Dignity, fostering a culture where differences are embraced and everyone belongs. Members demonstrate Courage by advocating for equality and challenging prejudice, while showing Compassion through their support of peers and commitment to student wellbeing. Their Ambition to create positive change and continually improve the experiences of all members of the school community reflects the Academy's vision of Learning Without Limits. By working alongside staff, engaging with external organisations and contributing to whole-school initiatives, Adeyfield Allies play a vital role in ensuring that inclusion is at the heart of academy life and that all students are empowered to fulfil their potential.

Here at Adeyfield, I personally feel like we are improving inclusivity in school by speaking up against prejudice and discrimination. We have gender neutral toilets, gender neutral uniforms, and are striving for equality amongst everyone. I believe Adeyfield is a great place for people of the LGBTQIA+ community to feel safe and included. - Emily Year 7.
