Each piece of work will be set with a time completion guideline to help you know how long to spend on each piece. If you have any questions or concerns about your home learning, please do not hesitate to speak to your class teacher. The LRC also runs Home Learning Hub after school each afternoon Monday-Thursday. This is a great place to go to complete any work you have been set and to receive help in completing it if required. There is also an opportunity for students to own their own Chromebook (please see device plan in your welcome pack).

What happens at lunchtimes and breaktimes?

Breaktime lasts for 20 minutes after period 2, and lunch lasts for 45 minutes after period 4. You have the opportunity to purchase food from the canteen or our outside Grab 'n' Go shop and then enjoy some fresh air outside. You also have the opportunity to be a Library Leader supporting our Librarian with literacy initiatives across the academy as well as supporting her in the learning resources centre. You will also have the opportunity to be a member of the student forum who meet every other week on a Thursday after school. It is really important your views and opinions are taken into account at the academy.

If I'm worried, who do I go to?

We want every student at The Adeyfield Academy to feel safe, happy and secure. If there is anything that you are worried about there are lots of people here to help. Your Form Tutor is always available for you to speak to, alongside Miss Polson and Mr Doodson. In fact, any member of staff is happy to listen and help. No worry is too big or too small, please come and speak to us, so we can help. There are also the goodwill ambassadors, student executives and head and deputy students who you can always approach if you need someone other than a member of staff to talk to.

What happens if I get lost/

You will find maps of the school on the walls around the school to help you if you are not sure where to go. The main school site is built in a square, so if you follow the corridor system you will eventually return to reception where Mrs Lee will be happy to help and point you in the right direction.
