Pastoral

At The Adeyfield Academy we have a real commitment to, and enthusiasm for, the development of the whole child. We measure success not only in terms of academic attainment, but in developing our students into caring, responsible, socially aware young citizens.

To facilitate this growth and development, we have a team of professionals who lead in pastoral care. Students will receive guided support from transition into secondary school (including a full transition programme focusing on social and emotional skills) then on through all stages of school life.

Pastoral Structure

The Pastoral Structure for Key Stages 3 (Years 7-9) & 4 (Years 10-11) is overseen by Mr Molokwu, Assistant Principal. The pastoral structure for Key Stage 5 (Years 12-13) is overseen by Mr Cook, Head of Sixth Form. Each Year Group is led by a Head of Year, supported by a team of Form Tutors.

The table below shows the staff member responsible for each Year Group:

Student Support Hub

Located in the centre of the academy, we have a Student Support Hub, with two dedicated Student Support Officers: Mrs K Walters and Mrs T Livingstone. The Student Support Officers are on hand to help with student welfare and support the Heads of Year team. They are available to all year groups and help students with a wide range of concerns.

Trusted Adults

At The Adeyfield Acdemy, every student nominates a member of staff as their trusted adult. This is an adult they feel comfortable talking with should they need support.

See It, Hear It, Report It

We also have a confidential reporting button that students can use to share any concerns they have regarding bullying, racism, discrimination and prejudice which will then be investigated by our Safeguarding Team.
