At The Adeyfield Academy, students will take exams and assessments as necessary so that we can assess their progress internally.
Mock GCSE and A-level Exams take place between October and December. Further mock examinations will also take place in February for years 11 and 13.
All these exams are taken under formal exam conditions in order to prepare students for the public examination series.
If you have any queries about exams, please contact our Exams Officer.
2025 GCSE and A Level Exam Timetable
Most summer exams will start on the 12th May and finish by the 24th June.
2025 GCSE and A Level Results
The collection dates for results days 2025 are:
- A Level - 14th August 2025
- GCSE - 21st August 2025
If someone is collecting results other than the student they must bring a note - signed by the student - giving them permission, or the student must have personally emailed the Exams Officer prior to results day. Under no circumstances will results be given out over the phone to candidates, family members or friends.
On Results Day, you will be issued with a Provisional Statement of Results. Examination certificates will be handed out in November, so you will need to make arrangements to come in and collect them. Members of staff will be available on results day to discuss next steps.
Preparing for Exams
Joint Council for Qualifications – Information for Candidates booklets
You should familiarise yourself with the attached JCQ documents.
Please note the following:
-
Where the JCQ document states that students should be 10 minutes early for exams, at The Adeyfield Academy, we expect you to be at least 15 minutes early for your exam.
-
Where the JCQ document states that students who arrive late to the exam should report to the invigilator, at The Adeyfield Academy, we ask that you go to Student Services and not the exam venue.
